FORT WAYNE, IN – May 18, 2022
Fort Wayne FC is hosting its first-ever ID Combine on June 11th for boys ages 15-18 who have the talent and drive to take it to the next level. This ID provides players a snapshot into pre-professional soccer and there is no cost for participants. This is an excellent opportunity for players to be seen and evaluated by Fort Wayne FC’s coaching staff who will lead training and evaluations – resulting in four (4) lucky participants being invited to attend Fort Wayne FC 1st team training sessions to be held in late June.
Session to be held at Purdue Fort Wayne’s Hefner Soccer Complex in Fort Wayne from 10am – 4pm. Players will be evaluated on technical skills, speed, and more. After the ID Combine, players are invited to attend the Fort Wayne FC versus FC Cincinnati 2 game with kickoff at 7pm at Shields Field Stadium on the campus of Bishop Dwenger High School.
“We are excited to introduce our Youth ID Combine as the beginning project in our Youth to Pro initiative. Our goal this season is to begin to identify talented youth prospects and give them an opportunity to experience a professional level. We want no talent to be unseen in our community,” states Assistant Sporting Director, Nick Potter. “This Combine is open to any player who has the desire and talent to play at the highest level. Fort Wayne FC is dedicated to strengthening the current youth development systems in place by providing a vertical process where youth players are able to see how they can reach their dreams of becoming a professional soccer player.”
Limited spots are available. Registration opens today through Thursday, June 2. To register for the event, please visit https://sportsengine-staging.go-vip.net/fortwaynefc/new-events/
