Forward Madison FC, via the head of Connor Tobin, gained a huge point against the league leaders in Union Omaha on the road.
With the draw, Forward Madison moved into fifth position in the USL League One table, putting the team into a playoff position. The Flamingos currently have 17 points after 12 matches played.
Omaha got the party started early with a breakaway goal in the 11th minute by midfielder Devin Boyce to give the home team a 1-0 advantage.
Both teams fought a tightly contested battle for the rest of the first half, neither getting many opportunities to score.
The best chance for Forward Madison in the first half came in extra time as forward Jake Keegan barely missed a goal on a point-blank opportunity.
The second half started the same as the first with neither team gaining much of an edge. That changed in the 67th minute as Madison Defender Connor Tobin headed a ball into the back of the net to tie the game at 1.
The Flamingos return home on July 20 for an international exhibition game with Club Atlético Morelia of Mexico.
