Sacramento player bring USL Championship experience to Fuego FC
FRESNO, Calif. – Central Valley Fuego FC announced on Sunday it has signed forward Julian Chavez as the club builds its roster for its inaugural 2022 USL League One season. The signing is pending league and federation approval.
Originally from Sacramento, Calif., Chavez played two seasons with Sacramento Republic FC of USL Championship recording 14 appearances. In September 2021, Chavez won USL Championship Goal of the Month by scoring a “golazo” against Las Vegas Lights.
At the club level, the 22-year-old was also a part of Sacramento Republic Academy U14 from 2014- 2019. Chavez also competed for Seattle Sounders Academy in 2019. He played for Sacramento United Soccer and Elk Grove Soccer Club.
“I feel very excited to play for a club like Fuego that has such a passionate football community,” said Chavez. “I’m eager to get on the field and score in front of the fans!”
