Miguel Martinez Joins Central Valley Fuego FC’s Technical Staff for the 2024 Season

FRESNO, CA – Central Valley Fuego FC is thrilled to announce the addition of Miguel Martinez to the club’s technical staff as the Goalkeeper Coach. Martinez joins Head Coach Jermaine Jones, Assistant Coach Mike Elias, and Assistant Coach Edison Gonzalez in what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
Martinez, a native of Tulare, CA, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Central Valley Fuego FC. A graduate of Fresno State University, Martinez has honed his coaching skills through rigorous UEFA and USSF coaching education programs.
Prior to joining Central Valley Fuego FC, Martinez served as the Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach at California State University Fullerton, where he played an integral role in the team’s success. Under his guidance, the team secured the 2023 Big West Regular Season Championship, and goalkeeper Tetsuya Kadono was named the Big West Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023.
Additionally, Martinez was the Goalkeeper Coach at College of the Sequoias, where he led the program to its first-ever CVC Conference Championship Title in the 2021/2022 season. His dedication to player development was evident as goalkeeper Zach Ramirez earned a place on the CVC 2nd Team in 2021.
As the Director of Goalkeeping at South Valley United from 2019 to 2022, Martinez demonstrated his commitment to nurturing talent at the foundational level. His passion for coaching extends beyond the field, as evidenced by his role as a presenter at the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Anaheim, CA, where he shared insights on “Training the Youth Academy Goalkeeper Zone 1” on January 13, 2024.
Martinez’s appointment reinforces Central Valley Fuego FC’s commitment to excellence both on and off the field. With his expertise, the club is poised to continue its upward trajectory and make significant strides in the upcoming season.
