Greenville, SC – After another multi-goal victory for Greenville over the weekend, Triumph players Paul Clowes, Carlos Gomez and Cameron Saul have been named to Week 26’s Team of the Week.
Paul Clowes (MID) – Player of the Week – Clowes recorded his first goal with the Triumph and tallied one assist in the 3-1 win over Toronto FC II. He also created 4 chances and completed 43 of 53 passes.
Carlos Gomez (MID) – Previous Player of the Week, Carlos Gomez joins Week 26’s Team of the Week after scoring a late goal to bring his hot streak to 4 goals in two games totaling 6 on the season. Gomez completed 21 of 26 passes and won 10 of 11 duels in Triumph SC’s 3-1 victory against Toronto last Friday night.
Cameron Saul (FOR) – Saul scored once in the 3-1 Greenville victory bringing him to two goals on the season. He tallied three shots overall and completed 11 of 14 passes.
With three matches left in the regular season, Greenville’s magic playoff number has dropped to three points. The club has an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot with a win during the mid-week West Coast match vs FC Tucson on Tuesday night at 10PM ET. With 40 points, Greenville sits underneath No. 2 Lansing Ignite (46 pts) and regular season champions North Texas (53 pts) both of whom have clinched a spot in the postseason.
