WHAT ARE THEY SAYING:
Hear what the players have to say about tomorrow's match against Charleston:
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Hartford Athletic – Philip Rasmussen MF
Coach Jimmy Nielsen held nothing back when talking about his squad's loss at Atlanta last weekend. Times like these are usually when a head coach turns to his captain to make sure his message gets across. We'll see if Rasmussen can answer an early challenge and rally his teammates on Saturday.
Charleston Battery – Ian Svantesson F
Svantesson is hard to miss, standing 6'6" at the center of Charleston's offense. Svantesson, in his second year with the Battery, poured in the equalizer for the Battery in their season opening match against Ottawa Fury FC. Svantensson scored a career high 11 goals for the Tulsa Roughnecks in 2017.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT:
Charleston Battery is one of the most successful franchises in USL history. They have made the playoffs during each of their 8 seasons in the USL. The Club looks poised to make another run to the playoffs in 2019, returning 17 players from the 2018 squad. Ataulla Guerra, who did not play in the Club's opening match, led the team with 15 goals in 2018.
