Indy Eleven Professional Soccer defender Neveal Hackshaw has been called up by the Trinidad and Tobago National Team ahead of an international friendly against Wales.
Dennis Lawrence, head Coach of Trinidad and Tobago, named Hackshaw to his 22-man senior roster for a friendly against Wales Men’s National Team on Wednesday, March 20 at 3:45 p.m. ET at Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, Wales.
“Neveal is continuing to establish himself on the international stage,” said Indy Eleven Head Coach Martin Rennie. “I hope he enjoys the experience of playing in Wales against some very high-profile players.”
Hackshaw, 23, has earned 16 caps for the Soca Warriors’ U-20 and senior sides. The La Horquetta native made his international debut with Trinidad and Tobago’s U-20 team in January 2015. In March of the same year, Hackshaw made his senior international debut as a substitute in a Copa America Centenario qualifying round against Haiti.
Wales’ 31-man roster, led by former Manchester United player Ryan Giggs, features strong youth and senior talent across the international soccer landscape, including Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale (La Liga) and Crystal Palace’s Wayne Hennessey (Premier League).
Indy Eleven return to Lucas Oil Stadium for the club’s Home Opener on Saturday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m., taking on USL Championship newcomers Hartford Athletic. Tickets are available for as low as $15 at www.indyeleven.com/Tickets or by calling 317-685-1100.
