Indiana’s Team Will Kick Off Eighth Season of Play Saturday, May 1 at Birmingham Legion FC
INDIANAPOLIS/TAMPA (Tuesday, March 23, 2021) – The USL Championship today announced home opener dates for 31 clubs that will participate in the 2021 season beginning in late April.
Indy Eleven found out it will officially go “back home again” to Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Saturday, May 8, when Indiana’s Team will welcome FC Tulsa to the IUPUI campus for a 7:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
The Boys in Blue will begin their eighth season of play overall, and fourth in the USL Championship, one week prior on Saturday, May 1, when they travel due south down I-65 to square off with Birmingham Legion FC in a Central Division clash.
The only way to secure seats at “The Mike” for the May 8th home opener at this time is to purchase a 2021 Season Ticket Membership. “To have dates we can circle on the calendar for both our season opener and home opener provides our squad a boost of energy as we continue through preseason – and we hope it does the same for our fans as well,” said Indy Eleven Head Coach Martin Rennie. “We very much look forward to the home opener on May 8 against a new rival in FC Tulsa, and we expect to feed off the energy of our fans during what should be a special night back at Carroll Stadium.”
The USL Championship will release additional details surrounding its full 2021 schedule and national broadcast calendar in the coming weeks, all leading up to the launch of its 11th season of play on Saturday, April 24.
