WESTFIELD, Ind. (Sunday, June 2, 2024) – Indy Eleven continued its season unbeaten streak as it defeated Lexington SC, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Grand Park Events Center. With the win, the Girls in Blue move to 4-0-1 to stay atop the USL W League’s Valley Division, and Lexington falls to 2-2-1.
Indy scored back-to-back goals in the fifth and sixth minutes to take the early lead, coming from Ella Rogers and Natalie Mitchell off an assist from Katie Soderstrom. It didn’t take long to extend the lead with Rogers picking up her second of the day in the 19th minute off another assist from Soderstrom. The pair of tallies make it the second consecutive multi-goal game for the captain and sent the home team into the locker room with a 3-0 lead.
Soderstrom got on the other side of the scoring in the 53rd minute, with the lone goal of the frame off an assist from Maisie Whitsett.
Rogers now has a team-leading five goals on the season, while Soderstrom shares the lead with three assists.
In goal, Nona Reason picked up the win and has shutouts in both appearances this season.
Indy has outscored its opponents 29-4 in 2024 including scoring three-plus goals in all five matches.
