Nigro’s 92nd minute assist to Nighte Pickering earned the Lights three crucial points against Orange County at Cashman Field

Las Vegas Lights FC defender Gennaro Nigro was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week Bench for Week 5 of the 2025 regular season on Tuesday morning.
Nigro earned a spot on the Team of the Week Bench after a magnificent assist to Nighte Pickering in the dying moments of the game against Orange County. Pickering would slot the ball into the back of the net to give the Lights an important victory in their pursuit of climbing up the Western Conference table.
This is the second time Nigro has been selected for the Team of the Week Bench in his career. Last season, Nigro was chosen as part of the Bench after his significant contribution to the Lights’ 3-1 victory over Miami FC in Week 14.
Las Vegas Lights FC will return to Cashman Field on Wednesday, April 16 to host Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on their U.S. Open Cup debut. Tickets are available for purchase at lasvegaslightsfc.com/tickets.
