LOUISVILLE (November 7, 2017) – As Louisville City FC prepares to host Swope Park Rangers in the 2017 USL Cup Final at Slugger Field on Monday night at 9:00 PM, the “Boys in Purple” will kick off their first Championship weekend with a free Fan Rally at Fourth Street Live this Friday evening.
The free rally, which will run from 4-6:00 p.m., will feature appearances from the full LouCity playing squad and coaching staff, head coach James O’Connor, and club chairman John Neace.
Louisville Mayor, Greg Fischer, will get the fan rally underway by taking delivery of the USL Cup from USL President Jake Edwards.
The LouCity squad and coaches will be available for autographs following the rally which will also feature the club’s famous supporter’s group, the Coopers, and supporter’s drum line, the Groove Machine who will bring their unique matchday atmosphere downtown.
Drinks specials will be available at Fourth Street Live and fans attending the rally will also have an opportunity to purchase match tickets and merchandise at the special event.
Throughout the weekend, the USL Cup trophy will go on display at select events around Louisville including the University of Louisville football and basketball games. During this week, the USL Cup logo will be prominently projected onto downtown buildings during the build-up to Monday’s big match.
