Louisville City FC has set open tryout dates ahead of the 2019 USL season for Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20 at King Louie’s Sports Complex.
Interested talents will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of LouCity head coach John Hackworth and his technical staff, including assistant coach Danny Cruz.
On providing the chance to area players, Cruz said:
“At Louisville City, we take a lot of pride in putting this event on. Our technical staff is really excited about the opportunity to evaluate talented players and see who may fit within our group. It is an experience that we believe will be extremely valuable for them as aspiring professionals and we will do everything that we can to help them achieve their goals.”
“In the past, this club has had great success with players like [defender] Oscar Jimenez and [former LouCity defender] Kyle Smith with an opportunity like this and we look forward to seeing everyone on the field.”
Tryout slots will be capped at 150 players with the field reserved from 10 AM-5 PM on Jan. 19-20. Interested participants are responsible for all expenses, including travel, and are required to bring the signed waiver with completion of payment. Players will also be responsible for their own athletic wear, including cleats, and must bring Black Shorts and Black Socks.
The open tryout will commence before the team begins its 2019 preseason camp at world renowned IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida in early February.
Participants will receive tryout information from the Club after registration closes. Contact LouCity Director of Operations, Andrew DiLallo, at adilallo@louisvillecityfc.com with any questions.
