About the Stadium: Slugger Field A to Z
Louisville City returned 18 players from its 2018 USL Cup team including veterans Luke Spencer, Sean Totsch, Paco Craig, Oscar Jimenez, Niall McCabe, George Davis IV and Paolo DelPiccolo.
Those veterans received their 2018 USL Cup rings on Monday night at a ceremony and single-barrel bourbon tasting event at Old Forester in Louisville.
The club signed several new players in the off-season, most aimed at increasing LouCity’s scoring punch. Lucky Mkosana, a lightning-fast forward who played against City last year as a part of Penn FC, Abdou Thiam, a collegiate star at UConn, and Sunny Jane, a Louisville native who spent last season in Cambodia, have all joined the roster in the off-season.
Saturday’s match will feature a shorter bench for LouCity as Jamaicans Speedy Williams and Shaun Francis and Lesotho native Sunny Jane have been called up to play for their national teams this week. In addition, Richard Ballard and Chris Hubbard are still recovering from injuries. That will leave Louisville City with 18 available players for Saturday night’s matchup with Hartford Athletic.
Kickoff Saturday night is set for 7 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The game will be televised locally by WBKI-CW Louisville and nationally via ESPN+. All Louisville City games are broadcast on radio through iHeartRadio Louisville. Saturday’s matchup is set for 790 KRD, with pregame starting at 6:45.
