Given two weeks since Louisville City FC’s last game, the boys in purple will have one of their top attacking threats back Saturday when hosting Miami FC.
Brian Ownby returns to the lineup for the first time since April 22 having missed minutes late last month due to illness. He’ll be joined in the attack by Wilson Harris and Jorge Gonzalez as LouCity kicks off at 7 p.m. inside Lynn Family Stadium.
In another change, Wes Charpie lines up in the back four as Josh Wynder heads to camp with the United States’ U-20 World Cup squad. Oscar Jimenez slots in at right back for Manny Perez, who suffered a groin injury when LouCity last played April 29. And Carlos Moguel Jr. takes over in the defensive midfield for Tyler Gibson.
Rookie Oliver Semmle returns in goal, while Amadou Dia and Sean Totsch — who wears the captain’s armband — round out the back four. Dylan Mares and Rasmus Thellufsen make up the attacking midfield as LouCity looks to ramp up its scoring with seven goals through eight league games this year.
Saturday’s match is the USL Championship’s first of the year airing nationally on ESPN2. Coverage can also be heard on ESPN Louisville’s 680/105.7.
