Louisville City FC’s lineup Saturday to face Hartford Athletic will feature two changes from a week ago as Oscar Jimenez and Dylan Mares re-join the starting group.
With kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Trinity Health Stadium in Connecticut, Jimenez replaces Manny Perez at right back as Perez looks to return later this month from a minor groin strain. Mares slots into the midfield, allowing Jorge Gonzalez to shift back out wide into the front three after featuring in a more central role during LouCity’s 1-0 victory last weekend at Indy Eleven.
Unbeaten in six of its last seven USL Championship games, LouCity meets a struggling Hartford side that has dropped three of four and sits last on the Eastern Conference table. The Athletic have conceded a league-high 24 goals with the City attack of, from left, Gonzalez, Wilson Harris and Brian Ownby looking to capitalize.
Mares, Rasmus Thellufsen and Tyler Gibson make up the midfield in front of a back four of Amadou Dia, Wes Charpie, Sean Totsch and Jimenez. Goalkeeper Oliver Semmle gets the start again, ranking second in the league with five clean sheets so far in his rookie campaign.
LouCity-Hartford will air locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville’s 680/105.7. USL Championship games also stream via ESPN+.
