Louisville City FC will continue a three-game home stand against Monterey Bay FC at 8 p.m. Saturday with just two changes to its lineup, seeing forward Sam Gleadle start against his former club and Arturo Ordóñez return in defense.
LouCity will be seeking a return to first place atop the USL Championship, entering the evening two points behind the Eastern Conference-leading Charleston Battery.
Gleadle will hold down a spot on the front line beside captain Wilson Harris and Ray Serrano.
Elijah Wynder, who netted a career-high fourth goal on the season last time out, and Taylor Davila maintain their midfield roles in the 5-2-3 shape.
Coach Danny Cruz selected Jake Morris and Aiden McFadden to man the wings with Wes Charpie and Sean Totsch joining Ordóñez at the back. Totsch exits a game-winning goal in City’s July 19 victory over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
Damian Las also returns in goal.
Notably, defender Kyle Adams is available as a substitute for the first time since LouCity’s June 19 visit to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC as he returns from a foot injury.
Coverage will air locally on WBKI and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7 with national streaming available via ESPN+.
