With three games left in the regular season, Louisville City FC head coach Danny Cruz is looking to hone in on his best 11 for the playoffs, starting Saturday when the boys in purple hosts the Tampa Bay Rowdies for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Lynn Family Stadium.
Forwards Wilson Harris and Adrien Perez, who made substitute appearances in last weekend’s Players’ Shield-clinching draw at Indy Eleven, return to the lineup in place of Phillip Goodrum and Sam Gleadle.
With those changes, it’s a return to a starting LouCity group that rallies from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Memphis 901 FC, 4-2, on September 28.
Defensively, Cruz will stick with a back line of Sean Totsch, Arturo Ordóñez and team captain Kyle Adams. Damian Las maintains his starting role in goal behind them.
Amadou Dia, who scored his first goal in purple against Indy, and Aiden McFadden, start out wide at wingback for LouCity. Taylor Davila and Elijah Wynder maintain their starting roles in the midfield.
Up top, Ray Serrano rounds out the LouCity attack with Harris and Perez.
Goodrum and Gleadle are still available off the bench. Additionally, Jake Morris, who limped to an equalizing goal against Indy, bounced back well after appearing injured last weekend and is also available as a sub.
LouCity vs. Tampa Bay is set to air locally on MyTV 58, WDRB+ and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7. CBS Sports’ Golazo Network will carry national streaming coverage.
