Louisville City FC head coach Danny Cruz will roll out a starting lineup with just one change Saturday as the boys in purple begin their chase for a third USL Championship title.
Amadou Dia slots in at left wingback for Jake Morris ahead of a 7:30 p.m. Eastern Conference Quarterfinal match against North Carolina FC. And aside from that, LouCity will run back the same lineup that capped the regular season with a 4-1 victory over Phoenix Rising FC, also at Lynn Family Stadium.
City — the playoffs’ No. 1 overall seed — enters the postseason with a 16-1 mark at home, where the boys in purple are scoring 3.74 goals per game.
The club will look to improve on that record with familiar faces, seeing Damian Las in goal behind a back line of captain Kyle Adams, Wes Charpie and Sean Totsch.
Aiden McFadden starts opposite of Dia at right wingback, flanking a midfield duo of Elijah Wynder and Taylor Davila. Wilson Harris, fresh off a brace in the Phoenix win, gets the nod up top. He’ll be joined by Adrien Perez and Ray Serrano in the attack.
With a win, LouCity would move on to face either Indy Eleven or Rhode Island FC in the conference semifinal round.
LouCity-North Carolina is set to air locally on WBKI/The CW, WDRB+ and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7. ESPN+ will carry national streaming coverage.
