Louisville City FC head coach Danny Cruz will make two changes to his starting lineup for Sunday’s 4:30 p.m. away kickoff at Birmingham Legion FC at Protective Stadium in Alabama.
Aiden McFadden will slot in at left wingback in place of Amadou Dia, while Adrien Perez — who scored the winner last week — will supplant Jansen Wilson in the attack.
McFadden played 23 minutes in the opener at the Charleston Battery, winning three tackles. Perez came on in the 75th minute and scored the winner just a minute later. His lone shot came from around 25 yards away, and somehow snuck past Charleston’s Luiz Zamudio to find the netting.
Aside from the inclusions of McFadden and Perez, it’s the same lineup that started LouCity’s 2-1 win at the Charleston Battery in the season opener.
Damian Las returns in goal after having little to do against Charleston. He made one save and had two punches, allowing Charleston’s lone goal on a free kick.
The back three of Kyle Adams, Arturo Ordóñez and Sean Totsch remains unchanged, led by Ordóñez’s six clearances last week.
Manny Perez starts opposite McFadden at right wingback.
Taylor Davila and Zach Duncan remain the midfield tandem. Davila completed 81% of his passes in the opener, while Duncan registered a tackle, clearance, blocked shot and two interceptions. Both players were shown yellow cards.
Ray Serrano scored LouCity’s opening goal of 2025 in the win over Charleston and returns in the attack. Phillip Goodrum starts at center forward after creating three chances in the win. They’ll play alongside Perez.
The available substitutes include Kevon Lambert, who made his LouCity debut last week, and Josh Jones, who would be making his professional debut should he see the field Sunday.
The game will air live locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7. For streaming coverage, download the free WDRB+ app to watch the local feed in Louisville or ESPN+ for national coverage.
