Midfielder Evan Davila earns a start as one of three lineup changes made by Louisville City FC coach Danny Cruz for Saturday’s 10 p.m. clash at Sacramento Republic FC.
Davila’s the midfield replacement for Zach Duncan, who sustained an injury in training. It’ll be the 27-year-old’s third league start for LouCity and second alongside his brother, Taylor Davila, who he’ll partner with in the center of LouCity’s formation.
The reintroduction of Manny Perez and Jansen Wilson represent Cruz’s other two changes. Perez slots in for Amadou Dia at wingback, while Wilson, who scored off the bench in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Detroit City FC, steps in for Adrien Perez in the right-sided forward role.
Phillip Goodrum, City’s current leader in shots at 10, keeps his place up top with the red-hot Ray Serrano opposite Wilson on the left flank. Serrano has netted three goals in the opening four games, including the back-to-back strikes inside the first 30 minutes.
Aiden McFadden, who won the second-most duels on the team last Saturday, retains his spot at wingback opposite of Perez.
LouCity’s in-form defense, which has conceded the second-fewest goals of any USL Championship club, remains unchanged for the fifth week running.
Austin FC loanee Damian Las will continue to anchor the defense in net after picking up his second straight clean sheet versus Detroit. Behind Las is the usual defensive grouping of captain Kyle Adams, Arturo Ordóñez and Sean Totsch. If Totsch plays 56 minutes, he will stand alone as the new USL Championship all-time regular season minutes leader.
Louisville native and LouCity Academy standout Brandon Dayes is among City’s available substitutes after signing a USL Academy contract for the 2025 season this week.
Saturday’s match will air live locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7. For streaming coverage, fans can download the free WDRB+ app to watch the local feed in Louisville or ESPN+ for national coverage.
