
LEESBURG, VA. (March 8, 2023) – Loudoun United FC has hired Claudio Altieri as its newest Head of Performance, the club announced today.
Altieri completed his Masters of Exercise Science at Edith Cowan University in Australia. Prior to his Masters, Altieri earned his Bachelors in Exercise Science at the Australian Catholic University.
“I am extremely excited for this opportunity to work with Loudoun’s talented players as well as the highly qualified staff guided by Head Coach Ryan Martin,” Claudio Altieri said. “I am eager to contribute to the organization with the collective purpose of making history and qualifying for playoffs this season.”
Prior to Loudoun United FC, Altieri was the Head of Performance with the Grenada and Anguilla National Teams. Claudio also worked as Head of Strength and Conditioning with Beijing Sport University FC in China and India National Team in Mumbai.
While in Australia, Altieri had stints as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Football New South Wales Institute, Australian National University and Cooma FC.
Altieri joins assistant coaches GR Cannon, Mattar M’Boge and Omar Badran to round out the technical staff.
