
Houssou Landry has won Loudoun United’s Player of the Month award for the month of April, earning the accolade for the first time in his career.
The Ivorian appeared in five matches, totaling 540 minutes for the Red-and-White in the month of April.
On April 6, Landry started in Loudoun United’s Open Cup win over North Carolina FC. He displayed a stellar box-to-box performance in Loudoun’s Second Round match for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The midfielder was pivotal in United’s 3-0 win over Birmingham Legion FC on April 16. Landry recorded 12 duels won, 10 possessions won, and 3 tackles won.
Houssou Landry put on a strong two-way performance completing 42 of 57 passes and winning 9 of 11 total duels and 5 of 5 tackles in United’s 2-0 win over Oakland Roots SC. This performance helped land Landry on USL Championship’s Team of the Week for Week 7.
Just three days later, Landry was part of the 5-0 thrashing of Flower City Union in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
