Loudoun United FC currently sits in the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference standings with 16 points. Following a loss at home against Tampa Bay Rowdies, the Red-and-White look to get back to winning ways on the road at Charleston.
Tommy Williamson and Jackson Hopkins scored one goal apiece in the matchup against Tampa.
Aidan Rocha recorded his first assist of the season, finding Williamson’s head with a brilliant cross in the 10th minute.
Jackson Hopkins scored his second goal in three matches for Loudoun United to put Loudoun up 2-1 against the Rowdies.
Goalkeeper Dane Jacomen has been nominated for USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week award for his save against Birmingham Legion FC. Fans can vote for Jacomen here. The poll will close at 12 p.m. ET on Friday.
Defender Daniel Chica will be unavailable for selection on Friday due to a one-match suspension following his red card against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Charleston Battery currently sits in second place in the Eastern Conference Standings with 28 points. Ben Pirmann’s squad is 1-3-1 in their last five outings.
In their last outing, the Battery suffered a defeat on the road, 3-2, to Memphis 901 FC at AutoZone Park on Saturday. Beto Avila scored his first Battery goal and Fidel Barajas tallied his second of the season, but three goals from the hosts proved to be the difference.
Augustine Williams leads the team with seven goals in 15 appearances while Fidel Barajas leads the team in assists with five. Goalkeeper Trey Muse has kept six clean sheets for the Black-and-Yellow.
