Loudoun United FC continues to fight for a chance for post-season play, sitting in 11th place with 25 points.
In LUFC’s last outing, the Red-and-White tied Charleston Battery 2-2 at Segra Field. Midfielders Kalil ElMedkhar and Chris Hegardt recorded a goal and an assist apiece. Following their performances, ElMedkhar and Hegardt earned USL Championship Team of the Week honors.
Midfielder Houssou Landry is available for selection after serving his two-match suspension.

“When you get to the end of the season, every match is a big game. To move up the table, you have to beat the best in the USL so we are excited to test ourselves after a good performance last weekend. We need to do a better job maintaining focus and concentration for the full match and no switch off as top teams will punish you. Louisville is the benchmark for the USL and it will be a great night to see how we stack up on Saturday night.”

Louisville City FC travel to Leesburg following a midweek contest against Miami FC on Wednesday, September 20. LouCity fell to Miami 4-3 in a back-and-forth thriller at Riccardo Silva Stadium.
Miami capped the scoring with an 86th minute penalty kick. The result set Louisville City back from clinching a spot in the 2023 USL Championship Playoffs. Sean Totsch scored a brace on Wednesday while Wilson Harris notched a goal himself.
Louisville City will be completing a run of three games in eight days on Saturday.
