Leesburg, VA (March 1st, 2025) – Loudoun United Football Club announces the signing of defender Ethan Pendleton to an academy contract through the 2025 season, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, the terms of the deal will not be disclosed. Academy contracts allow players to retain their NCAA eligibility.
“Thank you, Coach Ryan and staff, for giving me the opportunity this year. I have built a lot of great connections with an amazing group of guys in the team, and I can’t wait to utilize those connections on the field,” said Ethan Pendleton. “This team is getting better every day, and I want to continue to do the same thing in my personal development before heading to UCLA this fall.”
“Ethan is a good young local defender who has continued to improve over the last season and has earned this opportunity. He is a hard-working young man, and we are excited for this next step in his journey!” – Head Coach Ryan Martin
The Washington, DC native and UCLA commit signs his contract following his time with the D.C. United Academy program here in the DMV. In December of 2024, Pendleton committed to play soccer for the Bruins at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the fall of 2025.
