MIAMI (November 9, 2019) – Miami FC won its 9th trophy in 4 years winning the NISA Showcase East Coast Championship with a 3-0 win over Stumptown Athletic. It was the 7th trophy won by Miami FC under Head Coach Paul Dalglish.
Miami FC recorded three first half goals, one each from Ariel Martinez, Miguel Gonzalez and Lloyd Sam. Gonzalez’s goal was his 22nd of 2019, setting a new single calendar year record for goals scored by a Miami FC player. Stumptown’s Michael Binns missed an opportunity to put his side on the scoresheet with a missed penalty in the first half.
Following the match, Orange and Blue Captain Dylan Mares was honored as the NISA East Coast Golden Ball winner. Mares recorded 5 goals and 3 assists in the NISA Showcase campaign.
