Head coach Anthony Pulis’ side avoided back-to-back defeats thanks to heroics from the substitute pairing. Reid, who netted his first goal of the year against Miami United in U.S. Open Cup action, scored his first of the regular season. On the other hand, Parkes notched his first assist of the season.
The goal was Miami’s first at home since April 16 in a 2-0 victory over Hartford Athletic and its first in 350 minutes of league play.
Sean McFarlane closes in on 100 USL Championship appearances
Right-back Sean McFarlane is a Championship appearance away from hitting number 100. The Jamaican made his second appearance of the season in Miami’s 1-1 draw against Detroit City as a substitute, entering the encounter at the 71st minute.
McFarlane would join teammates Pierre da Silva and Mark Segbers, who reached the milestone in May.
