Miami, Fla. (Tuesday, July 12) – The Miami Football Club looks to pick up three points against Charleston Battery at FIU Stadium on Wednesday night. Coming from a 4-1 defeat at the paws of the Hounds in Pittsburgh over the weekend, the Orange and Blue are ready to fight for victory in front of a home crowd.
Miami FC sits in seventh place in the USL Championship Eastern Conference, with 24 points. A win against the Battery can close down the four-point gap between Miami and Birmingham Legion.

About Charleston Battery
Charleston has endured a tough 2022 campaign so far, sitting second-to-last in the East going into week 19.
After starting the season with one win, two draws and nine defeats, the battery finally found its rhythm in June. They took down a red-hot Pittsburgh side 3-0 at home and picked up a point at Tampa Bay the next fixture. However, their form dropped again, and arrive at Miami in the midst of a five-game winless streak.
Charleston proved to be an unpredictable adversary multiple times this season, picking up points against USL Championship high rollers. The list includes Louisville City, Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Tampa Bay Rowdies. The Black and Yellow will aim to squeeze out a result on Wednesday.
Two members of the Battery are former Florida International University players. Goalkeeper Hugo Faroux and midfielder Andrew Booth played for the Panthers from 2017-2018 and 2015-2018, respectively.
