Miami, Fla. (August 16, 2022) – Miami Football Club right-back Mark Segbers earned USL Championship Team of the Week Week 23 honors.

Segbers opened up the scoring in Miami FC’s 2-0 win against Atlanta United 2 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Saturday night. The 26-year-old darted up the pitch from his right-back position and found himself at the top of the 18-yard-box. That is when attacking midfielder Florian Valot dished out a pass onto Segber’s path. The St. Louis native took a touch and tucked the ball into the back for the net with his second.
Segbers backed up his one-goal performance with an 87% pass completion (57 of 65) and winning 6 of 9 duels while making six recoveries.

Miami FC will hit the road again after playing Atlanta United 2. Pulis’ side will take on Hartford Athletic on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. ET.
