Miami, Fla. (November 1, 2022) – The Miami Football Club’s captain, Paco Craig, was named to the USL Championship All-League Second Team, the league announced on Tuesday.
The 2022 USL Championship All-League Team was voted on by club management and a league-wide media panel that included representation from every USL market. The 2022 USL Championship All-league Teams honors the players picked for their standout regular season performances.

“It’s a great honor to be recognised by the league again,” said Craig. “Although this award is an individual one, it is a direct reflection of the hard work our organization has put in all year long.”
The six-year USL Championship veteran earned his fifth selection. The English center-back helped Miami FC equal the Championship’s single-season record with 17 shutouts. Moreover, Craig recorded 111 clearances, and won 67.6 percent of duels and 65.7 percent of aerial duels.
The 30-year-old also got involved in the attack, scoring two goals and notching three assists. His most important goal contribution was a stoppage-time game-winning goal against Loudoun United at Segra Field.
“I’m delighted for Paco that he’s had this recognition,” said head coach Anthony Pulis. “Since I came to the club he has been a model professional & a great leader within our group. He really found his groove in the 2nd half of the season after missing some time with an injury & he showed a great level of consistency in his performances.”
