NM United: We got out of Tacoma with the win, but there was some tension when the Defiance struck first. How do you think the team responded?
TL: Our response after being down against Tacoma was encouraging, as it was the first time we were in that situation this season. We created a lot of opportunities and kept showing great perseverance to find the first goal. I liked how we continued to push the game to find the winner and was happy to come away with our first 3 points in club history on the road.
NM United: What factors, players or plays, were most critical in the win?
TL: I was proud of Kevaughn Frater on the night, on both sides of the ball. His pressing was excellent and while I know he wanted another goal or two, he showed incredible resolve by scoring the match winning goal to help us secure all 3 points.
nm united: What should fans be watching for in the match against Rio Grande Valley FC?
TL: Our match vs RGV will be another tough test on the road. For us, the way we start the match has to be better and we are looking to continue to fine tune our identity in possession.
nm united: How is the team handling the three consecutive road matches?
TL: Three consecutive matches on the road is never easy, but I think the players have handled the start to the season extremely well. We have to be fully focused for our match this weekend at RGV and then we are all excited to get back home to play in front of our tremendous fans at Isotopes Park.
