Galaxy, which was seen by a sold-out crowd of close to 8,000 fans, the Carolina RailHawks will host MLS' Chivas USA in the Fourth Round of the 2012 U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, June 5th at 7:00 PM at WakeMed Soccer Park. Chivas USA won their Third Round matchup against Ventura County Fusion of the PDL 1-0 with a goal by Cesar Romero assisted by Juan Agudelo.
Tickets for the match will go on sale to the general public online at www.CaroilnaRailHawks.com starting today at 6:00 PM. Tickets are expected to sell fast so fans are urged to secure their desired seats online. Season Ticket Holders as well as Flex Plan Holders can get tickets for the match ahead of the general public sale by contacting the Cruizers Box Office. Pricing for the match will be the standard pricing for RailHawks regular season home matches, starting at only $10.
Chivas USA played against Ventura County Fusion at Ventura College. The MLS side played several of their big names. Forwards Juan Pablo Angel and Juan Agudelo started for the team while MLS Veteran Alejandro Moreno entered the match in the second half. The match between the RailHawks and Chivas USA will be the second meeting between the teams. The first meeting was in 2007 and was the first victory in RailHawks franchise history.
Along with the U.S. Open Cup match on June 5th, the RailHawks return to NASL action on Saturday June 2ndat 7:00 PM when they host the league-leading Puerto Rico Islanders at WakeMed Soccer Park.
