CARY, N.C. (July 22, 2025) — Four North Carolina FC players earned Team of the Week honors for Week 20 of the USL Championship regular season after an array of strong performances in the 4–2 win over Indy Eleven. Midfielders Mikey Maldonado and Louis Perez both earned a spot on the Starting XI, while forward Evan Conway and midfielder Pedro Dolabella earned spots on the bench.
Both Conway and Dolabella scored in the win, bringing their totals to five goals apiece this season. This marked the second consecutive week that both found the back of the net after the duo scored NCFC’s two goals in its loss to Birmingham the previous week.
Perez and Maldonado did not find the back of the net but contributed to the scoring spree. Perez collected two assists, the most an NCFC player has recorded in a match this season, while Maldonado recorded one. Maldonado’s season total in assists is now up to seven, placing him second in the league, sitting only one behind the leader.
North Carolina FC wraps up its three-match homestand with a USL Jägermeister Cup matchup against Loudoun United on Saturday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. ET at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.
