Oakland Soul SC has signed former Mexican National Team attacker, Teresa Noyola. Noyola represented their country twice at the World Cup in 2011 and 2015. The 32-year-old is a product of Stanford University and won the Hermann Trophy in 2011 as the best collegiate player in the country.
“Teresa is a highly accomplished player and a leader,” said Oakland Soul Head Coach Jessica Clinton. “Their experience at the highest level of our game will be a valuable asset for our team in year one as we kick off our inaugural season.”
Noyola was born in Mexico City and moved to the Bay Area with their family at the age of three. They attended Palo Alto High School before playing at Stanford University. Noyola finished their career at Stanford with 31 goals and 40 assists in 102 appearances.

Following their standout college career, Noyola played in the NWSL for Seattle Reign, FC Kansas City, and Houston Dash, scoring four times in the league. They most recently played for Valur in Iceland and have also competed for USL W League division rivals, California Storm.
Welcome to The Town, Teresa!
