Oakland, CA – Oakland Soul Sports Club, alongside the USL W League, announces the 2024 season schedule. Following a sellout inaugural season, Oakland Soul will return to Merritt College in the Oakland Hills for five games, while also returning to Cal State University, East Bay for a doubleheader with Oakland Roots SC.
“The season schedule always makes the new season feel more real,” said Oakland Soul SC Head Coach, Jessica Clinton. “We can’t wait to see all our fans once again filling up the stands at Merritt as we aim for all of our goals this season, we will need all of them behind us once again.”
The season kicks off on the road against Stockton Cargo on May 5th at San Joaquin Delta College. Oakland Soul kicked off the 2023 season with the same fixture, pulling out the 3-2 win. The home slate of games gets underway at Merritt College on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12th versus the Olympic Club. The team will play three Thursday Night games at home on May 23rd, May 30th and June 13th. The feature game of the season will take place on Saturday, June 8th against Academica SC as part of a double header with Oakland Roots SC at Cal State University, East Bay. The season will conclude at home against the 2023 division champions, SF Glens, with a Pride Day celebration at Merritt College on June 30th.
