Irvine, Calif., June 21, 2017 – Creating a world class professional soccer organization isn’t the only goal of the Orange County Soccer Club: Providing players and coaches with outstanding medical care is also a top priority. To achieve that goal, the Club and Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian today announced that Hoag is Orange County Soccer Club’s new exclusive health care provider. The Hoag logo will debut on Orange County SC’s jersey this weekend when they take on Seattle Sounders 2 at 5PM this Saturday at the Orange County Great Park.
Under this agreement, Hoag will provide OC Soccer Club’s coaching staff and players with comprehensive health care services on and off the field. These include pre-season screenings, physical exams, care by Hoag physicians for injuries during games, and medical exams throughout each season. The agreement will also provide unique opportunities for youth soccer clubs and schools to teach kids injury prevention and health education as part of a strategy for living a long, healthy life.
The newly rebranded Orange County SC is putting its stamp on the map of Orange County by reeling in Hoag for one of its cornerstone corporate partners. As Orange County’s only professional soccer team, the Club is actively engaging the business community of Orange County and seeking local partners whose goals and values overlap with those of our club: family, community and competition to be the best.
“Our players and coaches are like family at Orange County Soccer Club, and their health and well-being come first. That’s why we’re so excited to partner with Hoag,” said James Keston, club owner. “Hoag is renowned for its extraordinary health care services and its commitment to the community. We share that commitment and look forward to building our hometown fan base at the Orange County Great Park.”
Robert Braithwaite, Hoag’s president and CEO, said, “Through their discipline, competitive spirit and teamwork, the players and coaches of the Orange County Soccer Club inspire all who are fortunate enough to watch them in action. They represent our community on the athletic field, and all of us at Hoag are honored to be associated with them.”
