Phoenix Rising FC kicks off the home portion of its schedule against first-year USL Championship club New Mexico United. The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. with gates opening at 6 p.m. Fans who arrive early will receive a 2019 Phoenix Rising schedule magnet courtesy of Equality Health. Plus upon leaving the stadium, fans will receive a Phoenix Rising branded bottle of strawberry lemonade courtesy of Danzeisen.
The club drew, 3-3, on the road in its season opener against San Antonio FC. In that match, the club fell behind three different times before coming back to equalize with goals from Junior Flemmings, Adam Jahn, and the game-tying goal from Jason Johnson. Flemmings also had an assist (on Jahn’s goal) and was recognized by the league as a USL Championship Team of the Week Honorable Mention.

- New Mexico United had its inaugural home opener on Saturday, March 9, and drew 1-1 with Fresno FC in front of 12,896 fans.
- Albuquerque-native Devon Sandoval scored the franchise’s first goal in the 25th minute of the match, also giving the club its first-ever lead.
