Racing Louisville FC added a non-roster invitee to its preseason roster, hosting former Pepperdine University standout Trinity Watson for a week of training, the club announced Monday.
Watson joined Racing for Monday’s workouts and will be with the team through this week. The defender was asked to participate in training after impressing Racing’s coaches at open tryouts over the weekend of Jan. 21-22.
A repeat All-West Coast Conference performer, Watson finished her Waves career with 14 goals and 16 assists in 86 appearances over five years.
The move pushes Racing’s preseason roster to 31[\[] players. Louisville started training last week and is working toward a March 25 opener.
