PITTSBURGH (August 17, 2017) – Fresh off capturing the Keystone Derby Cup in Harrisburg, the Riverhounds (6-8-9) hit the road for a second straight week, this time facing Saint Louis FC (7-9-5) at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19 at the World Wide Technology Soccer Park.
The second and final meeting between these two clubs this regular season, Saint Louis got the better of the result in the first match, winning 2-1 at Highmark Stadium in April. Pittsburgh has yet to capture a win against Saint Louis in three meetings all-time (0-1-2) and this will be the club’s first visit to the “Show-Me” State since 2015.
With only nine matches remaining in the 2017 campaign, the Hounds are in a critical portion of their season, currently sitting 11th in the Eastern Conference table and only four points out of playoff position. Saturday’s tilt presents potentially the last time Pittsburgh will face an opponent below them in the table – the club’s final eight games fall against opponents slotting from fifth-to-10th in the conference.
Fans can catch all of this Saturday’s action via USL Match Center or watch the stream live on YouTube. Further details on the game can be found below.
