PITTSBURGH (October 18, 2018) – In the first round of the USL Playoffs, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (15-5-14) will host Bethlehem Steel FC (14-12-8) at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Highmark Stadium for the first-ever postseason game in the history of the venue.
This match will also mark the 100th Hounds game ever at Highmark Stadium. Currently, the club has an eight-game unbeaten streak (4-0-4) on the banks of the Monongahela River.
This season, Pittsburgh holds an undefeated record (2-0-0) against Bethlehem. The Black and Gold have outscored Steel FC, 6-2, in these two matches combined. The Hounds have never lost a home game to Bethlehem, holding a 3-0-0 all-time home record against the in-state foe.
Highmark Stadium will glitter in gold on Saturday, as the match will be a Gold Out. All fans in attendance will receive a gold rally towel, presented by Allegheny Health Network, and those 21-years-and-older will obtain a gold t-shirt, presented by Heineken.
Prior to kickoff, fans can also enjoy a couple of tailgates taking place in the West End parking lot. Moe’s Southwest Grill will offer a $15 package that includes food and a ticket to the match. Furthermore, Riverhounds SC owner Tuffy Shallenberger will host a tailgate from 2-6 p.m., serving pregame barbecue.
