Rowdies Notes
This is the Rowdies’ final match at Al Lang Stadium prior to the regular season.
The Tampa Bay Rowdies’ roster includes 17 players signed for the 2017 United Soccer League season, plus several trialists and training players in preseason camp with Tampa Bay. The Rowdies have played two matches so far since resuming preseason in early February, a closed-door scrimmage against Orlando City SC on February 11 and a 1-0 loss to the Philadelphia Union on February 18.
Rowdies forward Georgi Hristov could make his preseason debut against Montreal. Hristov is the Rowdies’ leading scorer in the Modern Era and has led the team in scoring in three of his four seasons in Tampa Bay.
Following this match, the Rowdies will have just three preseason games left before opening the regular season against Orlando City B on March 25 at Al Lang Stadium. The Rowdies’ remaining preseason schedule includes road matches against the University of Tampa on March 4, Jacksonville Armada FC (NASL) on March 11 and Miami FC (NASL) on March 18.
