ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (January 17, 2018) — The Tampa Bay Rowdies will open the preseason with a match against FC Cincinnati in Bradenton, the clubs announced Wednesday.
The match is slated for Saturday, February 10 at 3:30 p.m. at IMG Academy Stadium in Manatee County. Admission is open to the public and free of charge.
The Rowdies and FC Cincinnati met three times last season, with the teams playing out a draw once and then Tampa Bay winning the other two meetings, including a 3-0 Rowdies victory in the USL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
After facing FC Cincinnati, the Rowdies will continue with preseason matches against Major League Soccer’s Montreal Impact and Philadelphia Union on February 17 and 24, respectively, as part of the 2018 Rowdies Suncoast Invitational at Al Lang Stadium.
