ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Feb. 3, 2021) – The Tampa Bay Rowdies are hosting their annual open tryouts on March 6-7, 2021 at the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch. To be eligible to participate, all players must be at least 16 years old.
“For the past three years, we have made it our mission to explore every avenue when it comes to identifying talented players,” said Rowdies Head Coach Neill Collins. “In 2019, through our combine, we uncovered Juan Tejada, who most recently made his international debut for Panama. These open tryouts give anyone the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of our coaches and earn the chance of playing for the Tampa Bay Rowdies.”
Juan Tejada signed his first professional contract after the 2019 tryouts. He went on to have one of the best rookie seasons in the USL Championship and was named to the Panamanian National Team for an international exhibition match against Japan in November of 2020.
Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., and registration costs include a Rowdies T-shirt and refreshments. All participants should prepare to be at tryouts on March 6, and players who advance will return for the second day of tryouts on March 7.

Tryouts: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Registration cost: $100 per player
