During the Sweet Sixteen round—with fan voting running from Monday through Sunday—Sacramento Republic FC will square off against Bethlehem Steel FC. A fellow USL club, Steel FC is an expansion side owned by Philadelphia Union FC (MLS) that will make their inaugural USL debut this season.
/r/MLS Best Crest is an annual competition where fans battle off the pitch for the title of best crest in North America (minus central America and Mexico) determined by fans. Sacramento Republic FC are the defending 2015 champions.
The fan-vote competition leads up to a single elimination tournament in a randomized bracket. For each round, fans must vote on each bracket in order for the ballots to count, with only one vote allowed per person.
Voting for the Sweet Sixteen will run today through Sunday, Feb. 14.
