SACRAMENTO, Calif. (April 29, 2016) – Sacramento Republic FC received defender Kip Colvey on loan from the USL club’s MLS affiliate, the San Jose Earthquakes.
Colvey has appeared in four matches this season for the Earthquakes, including three starts. He recorded an assist against the Portland Timbers in a 2-1 win for the Quakes on Mar. 13. Colvey was the 49th overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft out of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He will be the fourth Cal Poly player to join Republic FC this season, in addition to midfielders Chase Minter and Matt LaGrassa and forward Mackenzie Pridham.
