Sacramento has only lost once against Sounders FC 2 since they first met in 2015, currently 8-1-1 all-time against their Pacific Northwest rivals. SRFC forward Cameron Iwasa will be looking to break the club’s single-season goals record, which he set in 2016 (12). The Sacramento native tied that record when he scored against Reno 1868 FC in the club’s previous match.

HOW ABOUT OUR RIVALS?
Sounders FC 2 enter Saturday’s match after drawing against Tulsa Roughnecks FC in a midweek goals fest. The Washington club rallied from being down 4-1 to equalize in stoppage time.
ROAD TO THE PLAYOFFS
Republic FC (13-7-7, 46 points) currently sit fourth in the Western Conference. Based on the current standings, the club needs 14 points from their remaining seven games to clinch a spot in the USL Playoffs. Sacramento has benefited from both Real Monarchs SLC (53 points) and Orange County SC (51 points) dropping points during the club’s bye week, opening up the possibility of gaining ground on its two opponents as SRFC looks to remain in the top four spots heading into the postseason.
S2 (5-16-5, 20 points) are sitting in the 16th position of the Western Conference, eight spots out of the playoff picture. Although not mathematically eliminated yet, Sounders FC 2 would have to win almost every remaining game and hope for other results in order to qualify. However, the club may yet influence the playoffs picture, after recently taking points off Saint Louis FC and Orange County SC.
