Sacramento, Calif. – Five local, Latinx-owned businesses, as selected by Republic FC fans and voters throughout the region, will compete in the final round of the crowdsourced Republic FC Kickstart finals. The program, launched in August to support Black-owned businesses has already awarded $10,500 to support minority-owned businesses facing economic challenges as a result of the pandemic. Building on the success of the first edition, Republic FC partnered again with Suncrest Bank, and welcomed the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to support the Latinx business community and distribute a $5,000 grand prize grant, as well as a $2,500 award and three $1,000 grants.
Throughout open voting, over 2600 votes were cast for the 50+ nominated businesses, representing a diverse set of industries including restaurants and culinary creators, service providers, education providers, health and fitness, retailers and more.
