Sacramento, Calif. – Republic FC Forward Cristian Parano’s Saturday night strike against Louisville City FC is a finalist for Goal of the Week. Voting is open now and fans can cast their ballots for the Week 5 winner at USLChampionship.com. Voting closes on Thursday, April 10 at 9 a.m. and the winner will be announced later in the afternoon.
Republic FC’s relentless press was rewarded in the 69th minute of the deadlocked match. Striker Sebastian Herrera pressured Louisville City’s goalkeeper into a costly mistake. Herrera’s pursuit forced a sloppy pass into the middle of the field where Parano went to work. The Argentinian forward collected the ball and let loose a 40-yard chip shot to put Republic FC on the board. The tally marks Parano’s first goal during the 2025 campaign.
The 2025 season continues on the road, this Saturday night. The Indomitable Club heads to Southern California to take on Orange County SC at Championship Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live in English and Spanish on Antenna TV 40.2, as well as streaming on FOX40.com and ESPN+.
