Rida Zouhir and Fabien Garcia Both Earn Weekly Honors
SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 15, 2023) – San Antonio FC defender Fabien Garcia and midfielder Rida Zouhir have been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week.
Zouhir scored twice in Saturday’s 3-0 win at New Mexico, recording his second brace of the season. Zouhir completed 76.9 percent of his passes, blocked two shots and made two interceptions in the all-around performance.
Garcia posted a dominant defensive effort, making eight clearances in the shutout win. The defense held New Mexico to just one shot on target, posting the team’s fifth clean sheet of the season.
SAFC is at home tomorrow for a midweek Copa Tejas clash with RGV FC on ESPN2. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. CT, with tickets still available at SanAntonioFC.com, or the SAFC app. The match will also be carried nationally on ESPN2.
