Sarasota Paradise came up short on the road Saturday night, falling 4-2 to FC Miami City at Pace High School.
Paradise struck early, with forward Kai Tamashiro opening the scoring in the 6th minute. FC Miami City responded in the 25th minute when Santiago Fajardo converted a free kick to make it 1-1.
In the second half, the hosts took control with three unanswered goals, extending their lead to 4-1. Paradise cut the deficit in the 71st minute as Felipe Rojas threaded a through ball to Romeo Dahlen, who calmly rounded the keeper and slotted it home.
Despite continued pressure and attacking intent, Paradise were unable to close the gap further.
The team finished with 55% possession and recorded seven shots — four on target — along with two corners. Goalkeeper Jack Kilstrom tallied one save on the night.
Next up, Paradise returns home to Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch to host Fort Lauderdale United FC on Wednesday, June 18 at 7:30 PM. The game kicks off a three-game homestand for the club.
Wednesday’s game will also be Military Appreciation Night, where the club will honor and thank current service members, veterans, and their families for their dedication and sacrifice.
